The unifying central theme, the common thread, throughout the Bible - from Genesis to Revelation - is the glory of God thorugh the advancement of His kingdom.
The Kingdom of God is basically the rule of God. It is the story of a King and His people.
Let's talk about 3 truths that will help us repent and live life with the King:
- The King is sovereign
- Throughout the Bible, the kingdom of God is His rule, His plan, and His program. There is a ruler and some rulees.
- This world is God's house and it operates on God's rules. His rules are to make us meaningful not miserable.
- But our God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases. (Psalm 115:3)
- "It is not unusual that this unusual action was taken by this very unusual King, because His is an unusual kingdom." -Tony Evans
- The King doesn't adjust to us; we adjust to Him. This is called repentance.
